This course, which is designed for doctors and critical care nurses with little experience of Intensive Care, consists of a series of lectures and skill stations covering many aspects of the care of critically ill patients with an emphasis on supportive management, particularly mechanical ventilation. Topics will include: airway management, diagnosis and management of shock, trauma, severe sepsis, transport of the critically ill and acid base disturbances. |
